Information and Considerations

Laurent’s Sun Village Resort
The quiet campground of the Sun Lakes!

Considerations

We thank you for your cooperation in complying with the resort rules and considerations. Please help us to implement these rules and report any violations at the store. All guests, and/or visitors, must register at the store before entering the resort. Any violations of Laurents sun village rules and considerations may lead to you, or your parties, being asked to leave the resort immediately.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, and will not be responsible for accidents or injuries to our guests, or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind.

Quiet Hours

10:00pm to 7:00am.

This means that after 10pm all music must be turned off and all voices must be held to a whisper. The resort does not allow excessively loud music during daylight hours. Failure to comply promptly to the quiet hours rules may lead to the security personnel or owner requiring you to leave the resort with the aid of the county sheriff. If this happens you will not receive a refund on your deposit.

Pets

Please don’t bring your dog camping! But if you must, all dogs and pets must be on a leash at all times. The leash, tie-down, rope, or chain cannot be longer than 8 feet in length. Please clean up after your pet. We have installed pet pickup stations near most of our garbage dumpsters for your convenience—please use them. Please do not leave your pet unattended at any time. Grant County and state ordinances prohibit dogs or pets on or in the swimming area at any time. Any owner of a dog or pet that shows aggressive tendencies toward any person, or other pets in the resort area, will be asked to leave. Failure to comply promptly with the pet rules (leashes, cleanup, pets in or on the swimming area, or aggressive behavior of your pet) will lead to the owner of the pet being asked to leave the resort without refund.

Watercraft Safety

On the water surrounding the resort there is a "no wake zone", including the entire Northern bay of the Blue Lake and the South end of Park Lake. The no wake zones are clearly marked by floats or buoys. These no wake zones apply to all watercraft of any type. The penalties for violation of the no wake zones or other state and county boating safety laws are very costly. Life jackets are required for each person in your watercraft One throwable float cushion is required by the state and county law. Children 14 years of age and under must have a life jacket on when they are on or in any watercraft. Adults must have a life jacket available in their craft for each person at all times. The law does not require the adult to wear them at all times.

Boat Rentals

Boat rentals are from dawn to dusk the same day. Life jackets for each person, and one throwable cushion, are required with any watercraft rental from the resort. Boats or paddlebikes and canoes must be returned to our marina docks each night so that they can be accounted for and to protect them from wind and wave damage.

  • Rental restrictions for boat rentals are:
    • Boat without motor: Passengers must be 16 years of age or older and monitored by an adult at all times.
    • Boat with motor: The person operating the boat and motor must be 18 years of age or older; and a parent or responsible adult must be in the boat at all times with any child under 18 years of age.
    • Damage Policy: If there is any apparent misuse or abuse of any watercraft rental, and any damage occurs, you may be charged for the labor and repair parts that will be required to repair the rented watercraft or motor.

Tents and Sleeping Gear

Tents and sleeping gear are not allowed on the swimming beach area, or anywhere in front of the small rock row border separating sites 77-89 from the swimming area access and lawn area. There are signs posted for this reason. Tents and sleeping gear are not allowed on the lawn areas around the cabins. You may rent a campsite to put your tent on at the office. Other lawn areas where tents and sleeping gear are not allowed are posted throughout the resort. Please ask one of our maintenance persons or at the office if you have any questions about where you are allowed to place your tent or sleeping gear.

Beach Rules

No tents or dogs on beaches. Grant county ordinance prohibits dogs on beaches or in swimming areas.

Fire Pits

Please do not put garbage in the fire pits. This includes cans, bottles, plastic, or food. This will attract bees and insects or other animals. Please use the fire pits already provided for your convenience. Please do not build new fire pits on the lawn areas or anywhere else.

Clean fish at fish house only. Fish entrails in garbage cans draw flies, hornets and bees!

Guns

No shooting in Resort Area. Shoot at least ½ mile away. No BB-Guns allowed.

  • Towels, rags, wash rags, or shop towels
